Global sugar output forecast at 124.4 mt
WORLD centrifugal sugar production in 2000-01 is forecast at 124.4 million tonnes (raw value), down six per cent from the record level set last year and the lowest outturn in four years, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has said in its latest Worl d Sugar Situation report.
