Inflation risk diminishing
THE country as a whole must heave a sigh of relief at the excellent rains in the last fortnight. The resumption of the monsoon, although belated, is good news for agriculture as well as for drought-stricken urban and rural parts. Besides, the last thing a strained infrastructure and budget needs is the burden of relief works.

Does RBI encourage spot market fixation?
WHATEVER the provocation in the spot market, the Indian merchant dollar payables community would rather prefer to transact -- that is, buy its dollar requirements -- in the spot segment only.
