Euro rise rescues gold
CURRENCY movements will very much dictate whether gold can hold the gains made last Friday (September 22), let alone build on it, bullion market analysts said. After threatening to weaken, gold prices dramatically recovered on the last trading day of the week to touch $273.95/oz, London PM fix, a gain of 0.5 per cent week-on-week.

CARDAMOM prices declined last week on lack of buying support at the major auction centres in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The prices on Monday fell by Rs 10 over the previous day.
