New costs for Mumbai marine oil terminal okayed
THE Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has cleared the revised cost estimates for the modernisation of the marine oil terminal at Jawahar Dweep in the Mumbai port from Rs 167.99 crore to Rs 215.34 crore.

THE drop in the draught at Maragolia Point in the Hooghly coupled with the Calcutta Port Trust's inability to improve the situation through dredging and other measures has thrown up several problems for the users of the Calcutta Dock System (CDS).
