THE National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) has plumped for extending fiscal incentives by way of cut in taxes in the forthcoming Union Budget to improve investment climate in the economy particularly when there is now slower growth in inve stment expenditures.

Assocham chief urges Govt to go for new WTO round
THE Government should not hesitate to go along a new round of multilateral negotiations under the World Trade Organisation (WTO) framework being actively pushed by the European Union, if further talks can help serve the interests of Indian industry, acco rding to the new President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham), Mr Raghu Mody.
