First NH-project in West Bengal under annuity scheme -- Fresh bids called from 6 bidders
THE National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has called for fresh financial bids from the six shortlisted bidders for the first annuity highway to be developed between Panagarh and Palsit on NH-2 in West Bengal after relaxing certain technical specifi cations relating to the project.

VPT makes new mark in throughput
VISAKHAPATNAM: With 45 days remaining in the current fiscal, the throughput at Visakhapatnam port has touched 39.54 million tonnes on Thursday, crossing the previous best throughput of 39.51 million tonnes handled in the previous financial year 1999-2000 .

The company has made the offer to Calcutta Port Trust, which is facing a major navigational crisis at Maragolia.
