Bajaj Auto launches new service system
BAJAJ Auto Ltd has launched Bajaj Advanced Service System aimed at improving the performance efficiency of its dealers. Under the system, Bajaj dealers will be provided with layout plans on how to streamline the service area and also instal hydraulic equ ipment to improve performance efficiency.

UTI sells shares of Thomas Cook
NEW DELHI: The Unit Trust of India has also sold 3,14,010 equity shares of Thomas Cook Ltd, equivalent to 2.15 per cent of the company's paid-up equity capital, to Thomas Cook AG and Eurocentre Beteilligungs-und Reisevermittlung GmbH (together as acquire rs) against an open offer made by them.

PONNI Sugars (Erode) Ltd is confident about its prospects despite the depressed sugar market. After a Rs 1.2-crore profit in the first-half, the company expects to do even better in the second-half. Ponni Sugars (Erode) was formed following the demerger of Ponni Sugars and Chemicals Ltd. Ponni Sugars (Erode) Ltd was hived off as a separate company, and Ponni Sugars and Chemicals Ltd, which was left with the sugar mill at Bolangir in Orissa, was renamed Ponni Sugars (Orissa) Ltd.
