Bengal awards scholarships to students

KOLKATA, Dec. 30

THE Dr Moni Bhumik Education Foundation at a function here has awarded scholaships to 10 meritorious students hailing from rural areas of West Bengal.

The scholarships ceremony was presided over by the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

The recently established scholarship scheme of the foundation has been floated to aid underprivileged but talented students in their pursuit of studies in the field of engineering, medicine and science.

The foundation will award the scholarships every year to students who will fulfil the eligibility criteria.
