MphasiS 2002-03 guidance shortly

Our Bureau

BANGALORE: Software services firm MphasiS-BFL Ltd is likely to announce its earnings guidance for financial 2002-03 during its fiscal 2001-02 third-quarter earnings call scheduled January, company sources said.

Indicating that the next yearly guidance was on the anvil as early as this December quarter, sources said that current economic situation merited ``some hints on the future of the company.''

It can be recalled that MphasiS-BFL revised its virgin guidance of $100 million topline to $60 million in the current financial year, blaming the downturn in the economy. However, the company maintained that its revenue would stay flat sequentially quarter-on-quarter, but the bottomline was expected to report robust growth. This could be achieved through tight cost control, improving margins and its call centre subsidiary, Msource, breaking even this fiscal.—
