HYDERABAD, Jan 1

THE Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (APTransco) has submitted its Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) report to the AP Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC), projecting the total revenue for 2002-03 at Rs 6,620 crore and the deficit amounting to Rs 2,750 crore.

With APTransco's projections for the next fiscal not varying much from the current year's figures of Rs 6,222 crore revenue and Rs 2,198 crore deficit, tariff rates are not expected to be increased this time.

According to Transco officials, even if there is any increase in tariff, it will be marginal.

The submission of ARR report by Transco was followed by a review of the matter by the Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, at a meeting attended by members of the Cabinet sub-committee on power.

The new tariff rates, which will come into effect from April 1, will be notified by APTransco after its proposals are scrutinised by APERC.
