CGG picks Xerox, CMC for solutions

V. Rishi Kumar

HYDERABAD, Jan. 27

THE Centre for Good Governance, being developed with funding from the UK Government, has firmed up pacts with a range of solution providers including Xerox to design a document centre and CMC to develop and install an information system.

While Xerox will be entrusted with the task of developing a document centre, Design Solutions has been awarded a contract to provide project management and interior design services in relation to the CGG building.

Pioneer Telecom has been awarded a contract to supply and install a telecommunications system.

These decisions have been ratified by the governing board, which is chaired by the Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu.

CMC has received the mandate for a contract to procure and install an information system for the centre.

This contract is based on an earlier association of CMC with Dr MCR HRD Institute of Andhra Pradesh and is expected to piggyback on the institute's system.

The Centre for Good Governance was inaugurated by the British Prime Minister, Mr Tony Blair, earlier this month.
