Voltas PAT rises 33 pc at Rs 4 lakh

MUMBAI, Jan. 28

VOLTAS Ltd has ended the third quarter of 2001-2002 with a 33 per cent rise in profit after tax at Rs 4 lakh (Rs 3 lakh).

Net sales were Rs 193.36 crore (Rs 200.31 crore). Other income was Rs 1.55 crore (Rs 2.64 crore).

For the nine month period, net profit was Rs 5.37 crore (Rs 5.15 crore). Net sales were Rs 60.07 crore (Rs 616.13 crore).

Net interest for the quarter was Rs 1.68 crore (Rs 2.68 crore). Depreciation was Rs 3.89 crore (Rs 3.79 crore).
