RECKITT Benckiser (India) Ltd, part of the UK-based Reckitt Benckiser Plc, today announced the appointment of Mr C.M. Sethi as the Managing Director from January 21.

In an official statement, the company said Mr Sethi had been with the company since 1984 and was hitherto with the company's outfit in Nigeria.

Recently, RBIL's Regional Director-South Asia and Managing Director in India, Mr Pranab Barua, had resigned from the board.

According to the statement, "as per the wish of Mr Pranab Barua, MD, to pursue other career objectives, the company has agreed to his request and accepted his resignation with effect from 21 January, 2002.''

Mr Barua had earlier told Business Line that it was a mutual decision to part ways amicably.
