Indian Rayon's buyback plan deferred

Our Bureau

The board of directors of Indian Rayon and Industries Ltd at its meeting

held today deferred the buyback plan approved recently by the

company's shareholders.

The reason for deferring the plan is on account of an illegal

strike at its rayon division at Veraval, VRS payment in its textile division, other commitments apart from market conditions.
