CTCs in demand at Guwahati sale

Our Bureau

GUWAHATI, Jan. 29

CTC offerings at Guwahati auctions last week met with better general demand at lower levels. Plainer and better-sized medium Assam brokens met with better enquiry and sold around last levels with a lower tendency. Good and better Assam however met with selective enquiry and declined irregularly in line with quality.

All fannings continued to meet less demand and were discounted. Larger brokens met with improved enquiry compared to earlier week, though at lower values. Better Cachars were irregularly around last, while the remainder came to a lower market.

Hindustan Lever operated with fair strength on the mediums, while there was good support from Eveready and Godfrey Phillips.
