Rubber improves slightly

KOTTAYAM: Rubber market improved a tad consequent on the general rubber goods sector showing interest in buying. The tyre sector is still watching the situation without making any commitments.

Traders expect the prices to surge further once the tyre sector also comes to the market.

Sheet rubber RSS 4 firmed up to Rs 31.00 per kg from Rs 30.75 on Monday and RSS 5 to Rs 29.50 from Rs 29. Block rubber ISNR 20 improved to Rs 28.50 from Rs 28 and ungraded rubber to Rs 28 from Rs .27.75 per kg. Latex 60 per cent remained steady at Rs 28 per kg.
