Management practice

The article "Promoting the will to act" (Business Line, January 28), should bring home the point to Mr B. S. Raghavan calling the points made by Prof C. K. Prahalad pedestrian. There is a lesson for managerial professional fraternity, be they learners or practitioners. Management practice is a serious effort to achieve something within the given constraints. It is a pity many Indian managers are designated by virtue of their organisation and the role they play. Mr Raghavan has missed the point which has been well brought out by Mr G. Ramachandran.
