HYDERABD, March 26

THE Hyderabad-based, BodhTree Consulting Ltd, engaged in software solutions, has announced that it has successfully implemented an application for social development — SoDAP (Social Development Application Platform) — for the US-based DevelopmentSpace.

This software platform designed for DevelopmentSpace overcomes the huge challenges of managing different kinds of individual, collaborative and community-based development projects in remote locations, according to Mr Sanjay Verma, Chief Technology Officer, BodhTree.

The SoDAP is a framework of pro-built software components designed specifically to rapidly develop and deploy Internet-enabled and sustainable social development applications.

These applications cover areas such as collaborative marketplaces, conceptualisation to completion of project lifecycle and other functions such as content management, contract management, back-office automation for NGOs, foundations and philanthropic initiatives of enterprises. According to Mr Verma, SoDAP can manage a whole range of projects starting from disaster relief to long-term development projects.

It consists of a set of components that can be selected, aggregated, sequenced and linked to form new business solutions for companies with a social or e-philanthropic agenda.

This application builds on a complete wireless mobile and voice interface feature that enables access of content and management at remote locations.

A client can roll out social or e-philanthropic initiatives with practically zero development time.

A powerful administrative and business rules engine set up the workflow and then gathered important data and metrics, Mr Verma added.

Mr Dennis Whittle, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DevelopmentSpace, said, ``BodhTree has provided us not only world-class software design, but has also been a strategic partner for us. They have been critical to our success and many of our key partners are starting to look to BodhTree for their own software solutions.''
