SQL Star Q4 net slips

HYDERABAD: SQL Star International Ltd, has recorded total income of Rs10.77 crore and a net profit of Rs 0.83 lakh for the quarter ended December 31, 2001 as against total income of Rs 13.29 crore and a net profit of Rs 79 lakh for the corresponding quarter last year.

The company, which adopts January-December as financial year, has recorded total income of Rs 47.36 crore for the year ended December 31, 2001 (Rs 45.98 crore for previous year) and a net profit of Rs 28.50 lakh (Rs 4.13 crore previous year).

Citing the overall market slowdown, the company has stated that its operating margins have been under pressure. To tackle the situation, the company is working to realign its resources. In March this year, SQL's rights issue was successfully offered. — Our Bureau
