Karnataka: Guidelines on Bt cotton soon

BANGALORE: Karnataka will bring out guidelines on commercially growing Bt cotton crop.

The State has conducted trial production of genetically modified cotton, the Agriculture Minister, Mr T.B. Jayachandra, told the Legislative Council.

Meanwhile, the Raitha Sangha will announce its nationwide agitation plan against Bt cotton at a Farmers' Day meeting in Dharwad on April 17, according to Prof M.D. Nanjundaswamy, Raitha Sangha leader.
