Prices up at ICTA auction

BANGALORE: Exporters were active at the Indian Coffee Traders' Auction on Thursday. They covered washed arabicas and washed robustas at Rs 2-5 higher than previous levels. Cherries did not find many takers, but prices were around Rs 1-2 higher. The domestic sales were restricted to need-based buying.

Prices were as follows: Arabica parchment PB sold for an average of Rs 59.26 per kg (Rs 54.88 last week);

Arabica parchment A Rs 62.36 (Rs 56.66); arabica parchment B Rs 56.06 (Rs 50.88); arabica parchment C Rs 49.62 (Rs 42.30); arabica parchment BBB Rs 28.20 (Rs 29.56).

Arabica cherry PB Rs 40.86 (Rs36); arabica cherry AB Rs 43.72 (Rs 40); arabica cherry C Rs 26.30 (Rs 26.04); arabica cherry BBB Rs 24.36 (Rs 22.46).

Robusta parchment PB Rs 28 (Rs 27.40); robusta parchment AB Rs 36 (Rs 35.12); robusta parchment C Rs 27 (Rs 26); robusta parchment BBB Rs 21.30 (Rs 21.70).

Robusta cherry PB Rs 27.32 (Rs 25.22); robusta cherry AB Rs 28.50 (Rs 25.78); robusta cherry C Rs 25 (Rs 24.08); robusta cherry BBB Rs 22.10 (Rs 21.22).
