Wipro, Blockade in alliance

BANGALORE: Wipro Technologies has entered into a strategic alliance with security solutions provider, Blockade Systems Corp, to provide security tools to enable customers secure their existing network and business applications.

Blockade and Wipro are providing customers operating on IBM OS/390 or z/OS enterprise server with an end-to-end authentication solution for the secure management of enterprise and portal identities. This solution integrates and leverages Wipro's Web-based identity and permission infrastructure product WiproWebsecure and the clients' enterprise server infrastructure, said a Wipro press release.

Blockade's authentication module, OSconnet, provides integration between WiproWebsecure and the IBM enterprise server security system for authentication, authorisation and auditing. The integrated solution enables customers to leverage their mainframe technology investment when deploying Web-based applications with the WiproWebsecure single sign-on and entitlement management solution, the release said.
