The Hindu Business Line : BMC launches online property tax payment facility

MUMBAIKARS will now be able to pay their property taxes online with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the largest civic body in the country, teaming up with ICICI's billjunction.com to offer its tax-payers the facility to pay their property taxes through Internet.

Using this facility, citizens can pay property tax bills anytime of the day or week. They can use their existing bank accounts, receive e-mail reminders and confirmation of their property tax payments or can schedule payments in advance. Besides, they have the flexibility of confirming each payment or having their accounts debited automatically, as per their instructions.
