NGRI gets funds for water project

HYDERABAD: The National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), here has got a funding grant of Rs 5.92 lakh to undertake studies to establish fresh sources of ground water resources and protect them.

The Union Ministry of Rural Development through its Rajiv Gandhi National Drinking water mission will provide the funds to NGRI. The Institute will also undertake separate studies to study `saline water ingression', processes and their control and develop techniques for sustainable development resources in coastal delta complexes.
