A few good men

It is heartening to see a new generation of Chief Ministers trying to tackle corruption. The Chief Minister of Punjab, Capt Amarinder Singh, is to be complimented on his efforts to unearth and weed out corruption in administration.

In Kerala, Mr A. K. Anthony has shown that a clear-headed and firm chief executive of the State can do much to bring to heel unions of Government employees when they seek to hold the public to ransom.

A few politicians committed to public good seem to be the only hope of the country.
