GailTel joins hands with Bharti Telesonic

NEW DELHI, June 30

GAILTEL, the telecom service unit of Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL), has signed a contract with Bharti Telesonic for providing bandwidth on the Delhi-Mumbai route for data communication, according to an official release.

To enable this, the company has obtained a Category A Internet service provider licence from the Department of Telecommunication to lease bandwidth to the corporate sector.

Earlier, GailTel was providing bandwidth to Bharti Telesonic on the Delhi-Vijapur route. With the signing of the contract, Bharti's digital traffic will be flowing on GailTel's Delhi-Mumbai route.
