neoIT offers to manage outsourcing

NEOIT, an IT outsourcing advisory, plans to diversify into offering managed outsourced services.

The company, which sees a major potential in IT services being outsourced to India, expects a 200 per cent rise in the value of projects it expects to facilitate this year, according to the company CEO, Mr Atul Vashistha.

``We are looking at facilitating projects worth $600 million this year as against $200 million we did last year,'' he said. The new offer to manage the entire outsourcing lifecycle for clients would help the company go for a bigger part of the outsourcing dollar, he said.

``We want to help the companies by managing their entire IT spend with sourcing strategies. We would like to be part of big companies and help them manage sourcing, decide portfolio of whether to go for outsourcing or nearshoring or onshoring, apart from negotiating on their behalf with providers,'' he said. This new offering is expected to benefit the clients significantly as they need not worry about looking for providers or evaluating their credentials etc. The new strategy of client-centric model is also expected to result in better savings for clients, he said.

Some of the outsourcing deals which neoIT facilitated last year were that of the Exult Inc-HCL Technologies and Cardinal Healthcare-Kshema Technologies deal among others.

Mr Vashistha said India was emerging as a major destination for outsourcing because of the cost advantage and expertise coupled with the talent pool the country possesses. ``There is enough business to be outsourced,'' he said.

The size of the projects that were being outsourced were getting bigger and of longer duration, he said, adding that the major deals that were being outsourced were predominantly in the application and project maintenance and the business process outsourcing space.
