Improving PSBs

The functioning of public sector banks may be improved in the following ways:

  • First identify the branches of Banks that can be merged so that the total number of branches is downsized.

  • Identify the employees who are above 55 years and implement their VRS.

  • Generate fresh employment.Nationalised banks should be improved so that they will be second to none. And private sector banks can be sidelined.
