SoftBrands acquires Systems Plus unit

BANGALORE: SoftBrands Inc, an enterprise wide solutions provider, has acquired Systems Plus India's Fourth Shift Division, its former business partner for the region.

With the acquisition, Fourth Shift, a Web-based ERP and supply chain solutions has a direct presence in India.

The new team will be based in Bangalore at the International Technology Park, where SoftBrand already has a development centre. This operation will be responsible for supporting the existing installed base in India and all business development activities, says a company release.

Currently, Fourth Shift has over 25 implementations with names like Frito Lay, Bausch and Lamb, Gillette, TTK-Prestige, Kodak India, Ingersoll Rand as some of their clients.

Mr Binu Bannerjee, Country Manager (India), will lead a team of professionals who have extensive Fourth Estate experience and have been involved in numerous implementations in India and around the world.
