M.J. Subbaiah made part-time member of TAMP

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, July 15

MR M.J. Subbaiah has been appointed as the new part-time member (finance) on the Tariff Authority for Major Ports (TAMP).

A notification appointing Mr Subbaiah as the new member was issued last week, Government sources said.

Mr Subbaiah will replace Mr J.V. Shetty whose term expired last September.

TAMP is the tariff regulator for the 12 major ports in the country.

The Government was also scouting for a new part-time member for TAMP to look after policy issues to fill the slot vacated by Dr Rakesh Mohan upon completing his tenure on April 9 this year, the sources said.

The Government has already given an extension to the TAMP chairman, Mr S. Sathyam, for a period of six months or till alternative arrangements are made.
