Cellnext service to Star channels

NEW DELHI: Cellnext Solutions Ltd, an Escorts group company, will provide SMS service for all Star channels.

Through the service, viewers would be able to participate in shows/contests, astrology, song requests, bidding on the various television and radio channels.

Mr Atanu Mandal, CEO, Cellnext Solutions, said that such SMS interactivity made possible by Cellnext will foster instant interaction between Star and its viewers through various mobile operators' networks. Mr Sameer Nair, CEO, Star Group, said, ``With more and more TV programming turning to interactive mode, making our bouquet accessible on cellphones is one step towards Star's concern for its discerning viewers. This technology is designed to bring viewers close to the channel.''
