BANGALORE, July 24
THE business community in Karnataka will have yet another chance to explore new opportunities in Thailand when the three-day `Thailand Exhibition 2002' opens at Kanteerava Stadium here on Thursday.
This is the second such meet, which will bring the business communities of both the countries together to expand trade and business ties.
Announcing the event here, Mr Prakob Panjacharoensiri, Director, Thai Trade Centre in India, said the increasing trade ties between the two countries has encouraged Thailand to consider the opening of a third trade centre, which coordinates the business contacts and undertakes promotional efforts like exhibitions and fairs.
Bangalore, which is fast emerging as a major centre in south India, is likely to be kept in focus for the proposition, Mr Prakob said.
The three - day event will showcase Thailand's industry in different sectors for joint ventures and trade with India.
In all 139 participants are listed for this year's meet as against more than 180 last year.
