BANGALORE, Aug 23

EPSON India, the total digital imaging solutions provider, has tied up with Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) to sponsor the club's monthly golf tournament.

The event, now referred to as KGA-Epson Monthly Medal Tournament, will be held every last Sunday of the month at KGA Bangalore.

The first KGA-Epson tournament will be held on August 25 from 7.30 a.m. to 12 noon.

"Epson stands for high quality, reliability, precision and speed. And to my mind, this is what golf is about. The KGA-Epson Monthly Medal Tournament is an exciting alliance," said Mr Yoshiro Takeda, Executive Director of Epson India Pvt Ltd.

KGA, set up in 1973 by a group of golfers, attracts some of the best players in the country.

In 1981, the then Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr R. Gundu Rao, handed over 124 acre of land at Challaghata bank to start a golf course of international standards. Currently, KGA has about 2,500 members and is one of the leading golf courses.
