Retailing Home theatre co Cinebels plans more shops Our Bureau
BANGALORE, Aug. 23 CINEBELS, a chain of one-stop shops for personalised home theatres, is looking at a growing market for entertainment ware and hopes to spread its wings soon. For the present, it plans to open exclusive showrooms at Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi in addition to the six such outlets it already has in various cities. Cinebels, a brand co-owned by Cinerama Pvt. Ltd. and Decibels India Pvt. Ltd, which is in the field of cinema sound and projection equipment for over five decades, runs Cinebels shop, a one stop retail outlets for personalised home theatre and high-end audio. Talking to Business Line, Mr Sanjay Agarwal, Managing Director of Cinerama, said `home cinema' comprises many components and ideally should be customised to each individual customer's needs depending on his room size, personal taste, current equipment possessed and the experience he is ultimately looking for, said Mr Agarwal. For high-end speakers, Cinebels has tied up with Jamo, the Daniesh speaker manufacturer. Mr Jan Obel, Marketing Manger of Jamo International, said it was planning to introduce the latest range of its speakers in October, soon after its launch in Europe in September. For the electronics, Cinebels has tied up with Denon of Japan, world leader in high-end audio-video electronic equipment. For the visual component, Cinebels offers Barco, a leading name in video projection. To complement these products, Cinebels has tied up with Vivanco of Germany, for its range of specialised cables and interconnects, Mr Agarwal said.
