Committees to oversee conduct of SSI survey

SEPARATE agenda-setting committees at the State and district levels have been constituted for ensuring the proper conduct of the State leg of the national small-scale industry survey scheduled to be carried out during the October-December period.

Announcing this, an official spokesman said that the Secretary, Industries, will be the State-level President of the committee and the Director, Industries, the State-level convenor.

Members include the Secretary (Planning), Director of Public Relations, a representative of the Finance Department, Directors of the Economics and Statistics Department, the Deputy Director of National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) and the President of the Kerala Small-Scale Industries Association (KSSA).

In the case of the district-level committees, the respective District Collector will be President while the General Manager of the District Industries Centre will be convenor. The District Information Officer, the District Employment Officer, the Deputy Director of Economics and Statistics, the Superintendent of NSSO and the district President of KSSA will constitute members.
