Software Info-Tech - Software VisualSoft Q2 profit up 72 pc Our Bureau
HYDERABAD, Oct. 17 VISUALSOFT Technologies Ltd, has recorded total revenues of Rs 30.92 crore with a net profit of Rs 8.07 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2002 as against a total income of Rs 24.99 crore and a net profit of Rs 4.68 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. This reflects an increase of about 23.72 per cent in total revenues and 72.48 per cent in net profit over the corresponding quarter last year. During the quarter ended June 30, 2002, the company had recorded total income of Rs 29.02 crore and a net profit of Rs 7.37 crore, thereby registering an increase of 6.54 per cent in revenues and 9.54 per cent in net profit over the previous quarter. For the financial year ended March 31, 2002, the company had total revenues of Rs 108.07 crore with a net profit of Rs 25.39 crore. According to the Chairman and Managing Director of VisualSoft, Mr D.V.S. Raju, the company's business is growing at a steady pace as could be seen from the financial numbers. The company has branded itself as a complete end-to-end solutions provider and this has paved the way for strengthening the solutions segment.
The company also announced its move to extend support for Microsoft .NET mobile application development. With this, the company offers its customers solutions for building and deploying XML Web services that can be part of a mobile Web application as well as those that can be consumed by a Smart Client application based on the MS .NET Compact Framework. These solutions allow applications to communicate and share data over the Internet using mobile services.
