Centre not to raise borrowings

NEW DELHI: The Centre has decided not to raise borrowings through the scheduled auction for November 18-23, 2002, in view of the comfortable liquidity position, according to an official release issued here.

The calendar for marketable dated securities for the second half of 2002-03 issued by the Reserve Bank of India on September 18, 2002, had announced an auction of 10 to 15 year security of Rs 5,000 crore during the period from November 18 to 23, 2002.
