Variety - Domestic Travel

Explore the wild

This is an unmatched combination of a hill station and an opportunity for exploration of wildlife.

The B.R. Hills Wildlife Resort (K.Gudi) is located in the heart of the Biliguri Rangaswamy Sanctuary, about 90 km from Mysore on a hill at an altitude of 3,300 ft above sea level.

At the camp, the deciduous and evergreen forests engulf you and put you right in with the wild animals and birds. The forest is at its best from June and November.

A unique feature of the camp is that there is no electricity in the tents and log-hut. Electricity is provided in the hunting lodge from 7 pm to 10.30 pm. As the night falls and the moon shines, the resort is lit up with hurricane lamps and the transformation is mystical.

Apart from wildlife, the B.R.Hills camp at K.Gudi provides many attractions that can be enjoyed from the camp. The places that can be visited include Temple of Biligiri Rangaswamy, local coffee estates, trekking trips to the mountain peak, nature walks into the forest and visit to local tribal hamlets of Soliga and Jenukuruba.

Accommodation: The resort's accommodations are comfortable with a choice of living quarters.

One large hunting lodge of the Mysore Maharaja which accommodates about 15 tourists.

Eight permanent tents with bathrooms, to accommodate 16 tourists on twin-sharing basis. One wooden log hut sufficient for 6 visitors.

From Bangalore: Total 226 km by road via Mysore and Chamarajanagar. Frequent buses/trains are available to Mysore. From Mysore it is 85 kms by road via Chamarajanagar, Nallur and Navodaya School.

From Coimbatore: 175 kms by road via Chamarajanagar, Nallur and Navodaya School.
