MUMBAI, Dec. 17

BOSE Corporation today launched its DVD home entertainment system _ the 3.2.1 (called Three-Two-One). The system, which comprises just three wires, two speakers and the system, can be controlled by an infrared remote, which offers access to all system functions.

The two new speaker arrays work on the new Bose proprietary signal processing technology to deliver the performance of a five-speaker surround system, according to a press release.

The media centre incorporates tuner, DVD/CD player, amplification and equalisation, and proprietary signal processing. Its additional playback capabilities include CD-R, CD-RW, VCD and MP3 on CD. There are three inputs for additional sources, the release said.

The product, priced at Rs 73,900 (taxes extra), employs an integrated systems design. Every element is designed to work with the others for good sound reproduction and ease of use, the release added.
