Engineering goods fair

COIMBATORE: A buyer-seller meet for engineering goods is being organised by the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (Codissia) and the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), Southern Region, Chennai in Coimbatore on Thursday.

According to the Codissia President, Mr Tee. Narayanaswami, the meet `Euro India Conference 2003' would focus on the competitiveness of Indian foundry castings, precision machined components, sheet metal parts, pressings, auto components, fasteners etc. It is for the first time that such a meet has been organised in this part of the country, he added.

He said about 35 companies from European region were expected to have business discussions during the meet. These companies sourced various products from countries such as China, the US, Australia etc.
