Home exhibition in Madurai from today

MADURAI, Feb. 6

THE nineteenth All-India Ideal Home Exhibition, organised by the Madurai District Tiny And Small Scale Industries Association (Maditssia) is set to commence in the city from Friday.

The eleven-day event this year will focus on the exterior of the house along with rainwater harvesting system. The exclusive bay for the housing sector witha model and artificial rains will be explanatory of rainwater harvesting methodology for the public.

The presentation will be accompanied by thunder and light effects, the Chairman of the Exhibition Committee, Mr S. Anburajan, said in a meet with the press here.The exhibition, organised in association with the All-India Manufacturers' Association, is intendedto facilitate pre-Budget purchases by the people. There will be 250 stalls marketing various products offered at reduced costs, Mr Anburajan added.

The President of Maditssia, Mr K. Ramachandran, in his address explained that the exhibition was the first of its kind organised after signing a MoU with India Trade Promotion Organisation, setting standards and unique in several aspects in exhibition.

Aspiring entrepreneurs could get online temporary certification for starting their units in the small-scale sector. Necessary information would be provided at the stalls housing Business Information Centre and District Industries Centre.

The Maditssia-Sidbi Industrial Clinic, would offer its services in one of the stalls. Entrepreneurs can consult the clinic on business matching, organising trade delegations and on exports, he added.
