Harvesting of coriander leaves (kothamalli ilai) in progress at a farm in Yellapetti near Munnar in Idukki district. It is sold at Rs 4-5 per kg at the farm, but the price moves up to Rs 15-25 when it reaches the Kochi market. Major demand for the leaves is from Tamil Nadu.
