Indian economy

The Indian economy can best be described by the words of Charles Dickens, "It is the best of times and it is the worst of times." On the one hand, there is great progress in many fields, including telecommunication and information technology. It has built its own nuclear reactors and has sent satellites into outer space. Energy generation has greatly increased and literacy, particularly women's literacy, has improved. On the other, extreme poverty and child labour still exists. The rich are becoming richer and the poor poorer. The question is: When will it change for the better?
