KOCHI: The Le Meridien Cochin has formed a consortium with two upmarket properties, the Kumarakom Lake Resort and Kovalam Hotels, to jointly market a complete Kerala tour package for the national and international tourists.
The package was officially inaugurated by the Kerala Minister for Tourism, Mr K.V. Thomas, at the just-concluded International Travel Exchange 2003, at Berlin. Called the Elements of Kerala, this six-nights-seven-days package involves two days stay each at the Kovalam Hotels, the Kumarakom Lake Resort and the Le Meridien Cochin.
"You also spend a night in the fully furnished houseboat of Alappuzha, where you can revel in the incredible experience of cruising along the quiet waters of Kerala", the Le Meridien has said in a statement here. In Thiruvananthapuram, the visitor has a full day at his disposal during which he can relax at the beach or else enjoy the rejuvenating experience of an ayurvedic massage. The package also recommended a detour to the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary where the tourists can see the wild animals from the safety of a boat or a day at the Munnar Hill Resrt.
