Global Hospitals' gesture

HYDERABAD: Global Hospitals, the corporate hospital major, has decided to offer medical and surgical services at subsidised rates to the people falling under the lower income socio-economic groups at its Global Banjara centre from Wedneday, the Telugu New Year Day.

While consultant physicians and surgeons have agreed to offer their services at nominal charges, the management has decided to subsidise the other costs, according to Dr K. Ravindranath, Founder Managing Director of the Global Hospitals. In a press release, he said the Hospital will fulfil its corporate social responsibility by bringing quality medicare to the poor and needy. The patients would have to produce evidence like a ration card or a recommendation from elected representatives or IAS, IPS officials.
