Promotions & Offers Rasna's gesture towards CRY Our Bureau
BANGALORE, April 30 RASNA, a leading soft drinks concentrate company, has announced that it would dedicate a day to the children of CRY. It said as a gesture towards millions of underprivileged children in the country, Rasna sales teams would visit schools across the country and sell products from its extensive range. All proceeds from the sale on `Rasna - The Hero Day for CRY' will be donated to CRY, an Indian organisation working towards providing underprivileged children with their basic rights - to survival, participation, protection and development. Mr Piruz Khambatta, Chairman and Managing Director, Rasna Pvt Ltd, said, "Rasna - The Hero Day for CRY' is our endeavour to touch the lives of the innumerable not-so-privileged children in India. Our efforts will be successful only with the cooperation of school going children across the country. We urge these children to buy Rasna products on `Rasna - The Hero Day for CRY' because in doing that they will be touching the lives of their not so fortunate counterparts. The Rasna sales team will be visiting at least 10, 000 schools across the country. Even if we were to raise Rs 1,000 from each of these schools, we will be able to donate one crore to CRY ". Ms Pervin Varma, Chief Executive Officer, CRY, said, "CRY is delighted to partner with Rasna for the cause of India's children. By buying Rasna products on `Rasna - The Hero Day for CRY', not only will many underprivileged Indian children get a chance to enjoy a better life, but it will also allow many more individuals to be part of the cause.
