Dalmia Consumer Care to tap rural FMCG market

NEW DELHI, April 30

DALMIA Consumer Care, the just-launched FMCG company from the Rs 1,200-crore Dalmia group, plans to introduce a range of confectionery products, among other food and beverage products, targeted at the rural consumer.

Speaking to the media to announce the launch of Dalmia Consumer Care, Mr Sudershan Banerjee, the company's MD & CEO, said that the products carry a price advantage, and would be pegged on the health platform. While declining to divulge details of the products, Mr Banerjee said that these could range from nimbu pani, biscuits and gur-based snacks, to even chyawanprash.
