The Hindu Business Line : UPASI workshop on VAT today

TO explain the concept and implications of Value Added Tax (VAT), the United Planters' Association of Southern India (UPASI) is organising a workshop at the Tea Trade Association of Coimbatore on May 13.

Experts from the three southern States - Mr Shanmugham, Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Chennai, Mr Anil Kumar, Registrar, Centre for Taxation Studies, Kerala, and Mr D. Venkatesh, Tax Consultant, Karnataka are to present papers on the perspective of VAT in their respective States.
