THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Department of Forests will be conducting a series of competitions for students and youth on June 4-5 in connection with the World Environment Day celebrations.

An official spokesman said that an elocution competition for high school students, college level students and youth members of voluntary organisations will be held on June 4 in the forenoon at the Forest Headquarters.

A poster writing competition for youth and college students will be held the same afternoon. Water colour painting competition for LKG, UKG and LPS students will be held on June 5 from 10 a.m. Details can be had from the Forest Information Bureau (Phone: 2529203, 2529206, 2529205).
