HYDERABAD, July 3

HEROMINDMINE, part of the Rs 8,500-crore diversified Hero group, and specialising in training for ITES sector has announced it has entered into an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education to train the recently selected Graduate Employability Test (GET) candidates.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the Chief Executive Officer of Heromindmine, Mr Ashish Gupta, said this collaboration would be extended to over 100 colleges spread across the State.

As a part of this agreement, GET candidates would be joining Heromindmine for a three month course that provides training for call centres and customer service organisations as also English language and soft skills covering personality training. Explaining the huge job potential in the ITES sector, Mr Gupta said that as per projections by the ITES task force constituted by the Andhra Pradesh Government, 20,000 jobs would be available in the ITES sector in the State in this year.

With companies finding it tough to find the trained necessary manpower, a focussed grooming was necessary to address this space.

One of the fallout of this arrangement with Andhra Pradesh would be the ability to bridge the manpower demand supply gap.

In order to sustain the current rapid growth witnessed in the ITES sector, Mr Gupta said over the years the entire spectrum of ITES covering lower level data entry to high end data analysis and data interpretation work, was expected to be outsourced to Indian companies.
